Disability & Community Support Worker

A Disability and Community Support Worker undertakes a range of activities and duties requiring the application of acquired skills and knowledge. General features of this position consist of performing functions which are defined by established routines, methods, standards and procedures, with scope to exercise initiative in the application of new work practices and procedures following consultation with other members of the team.

We currently require disability and support workers in the Copper Coast, Eyre Peninsula and surrounding areas.

Personal Care Attendant

A Personal Care Attendant has a similar role to a Disability & Community Support Worker where they undertake a range of activities and duties requiring the application of acquired skills and knowledge.

General features of this position consist of performing functions which are defined by established routines, methods, standards and procedures, with scope to exercise and reporting to their superiors (such as the nurse). Personal Care Attendants also are active in documentation of Activities of Daily Living and if medication credited, can administer medications.

Nurse

Enrolled Nurse

Registered under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Enrolled Nurses follow protocols and instructions from the Registered Nurse to perform patient care in a variety of health, aged care, welfare and community settings under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

They report any changes in the client to the Registered Nurse and are able to administer medications, attend simple wound care, observe, measure and record outcomes.

Registered Nurse

Registered Nurses are registered under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and provide and coordinate care, provide education to patients, their families and the community in relation to various health conditions.

They are able to provide advice and emotional support to the people under their care as well as their families and carers. Registered Nurses are also able to administer medications and treatments and monitor them for any adverse reactions.
